Northwest online has

for You Crossed My Sky - a Spanish based Creative
Writing Business. The project - a web site
where you can explore and develop your creative
writing skills, publish your short stories
online, meet fellow writers and in the process
be pro-active about your thoughts; You Crossed
My Sky provides the perfect platform for personal
expression in its simplest form and all for
free - is based on Microsoft's powerful .NET
platform - using ASP.net and Microsoft SQL
database to back up a simple and user friendly
front end built to XHTML Strict 1.0 Web standards.
In addition to working closely with the client to create the database schema and Content Management System (CMS), the front end design underwent a similarly robust process to get to the final chosen design. This process resulted in the creation of a detailed design brief and 3 different initial designs. The project designs can be seen below:
The site contains secure Administrator, Editor and Client Areas, authors signup and account creation, keyword filters (for editors to highlight offensive phrases prior to publication), automatic publication or rejection notification via email, archive and retrieval areas, image resizing, a powerful search facility, indexable /search engine friendly page creation and many other functions. The 15 week development period included 4 weeks of testing and adjustment to ensure the client was 100% happy with the system prior to site launch.

GROUP KPI SYSTEM CURRENTLY UNDER DEVELOPMENT:

Key Performance Indicator) system for the
Novas Group
- the housing and support services organisation.
The system will be deisnged to collate data
from up to 50 regional Offices for use by
the Policy & Performance Team and will
be constructed using ASP / ASP.NET and SQL
. This extranet based system will not only
collate and store data - it will anaylise
the data and run reports at the touch of a
button.

DEVELOPMENT:
Northwest Online
have been chosen to develop an extranet site
for Blue
Apple Contract Catering Limited. The system
will link over 20 retail outlets with the
in-house management system -Sage Line 50.
It will enable the head office to control
suppliers, and monitor hourly purchases and
takings. The system will have IP restricted
access and tiered password security. The ability
to control purchases and stock monitoring
and will drastically cut the time currently
spent inputting data into the current system.
